Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ribbn mobile application (“App”), operated by Ribbn, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ribbn. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. Ribbn is intended for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and individuals seeking cancer support.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@joinribbn.org if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

3. Community Standards

Ribbn is a supportive community. You agree not to:

• Post content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory
• Share medical advice or claim to provide professional medical, psychological, or clinical guidance
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Share another user’s personal information without their consent
• Post spam, promotional content, or solicitations without our prior written approval
• Use the App for any illegal purpose

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, at our sole discretion.

4. Peer Connections

Ribbn facilitates peer-to-peer connections between users. These connections are not professional relationships. Ribbn does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of information shared by users. You interact with other users at your own discretion and risk.

5. Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you post on Ribbn. By posting, you grant Ribbn a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of providing our services. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate anyone else’s rights.

6. Medical Disclaimer

Please see our Medical Disclaimer, incorporated into these Terms, for important information about the non-medical nature of Ribbn’s services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ribbn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months (which, for a free app, is zero dollars).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Ribbn is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update these Terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
